  • Preheat: 5 minutes
  • Heat: High

Instructions

Step 1 – Caramelize the Onions Dice the onion and cook over medium-low heat until golden and caramelized. Cool and set aside.

Step 2 – Form the Patties Finely mince the ground beef and mix in the cooled caramelized onion. Firmly press and shape into round patties. Set aside.

Step 3 – Prep the Vegetables Slice the onion and tomato. Wash the lettuce. Set aside.

Step 4 – Make the Sauces Pickle Mayo: Finely chop all ingredients and mix together. BBQ Sauce: Combine all ingredients in a pan and simmer over low heat until thickened and reduced.

Step 5 – Grill & Build Toast the burger buns in the StoviGo until crispy. Roast the patties until cooked through. Build each burger: patty → cheddar (melted in oven) → lettuce → pickles → tomato → pickle mayo on top.

Tips

  • The finer the mince, the more tender and cohesive the patty
  • Firmly pressing out air from the patties prevents them from crumbling during roasting
  • Make a larger batch of BBQ sauce — it keeps in the fridge for up to a week
